Nursery Furnitire

Our baby furniture was available onsite at Buy Buy Baby; therefore, we were able to pick up and assemble over the weekend. Now, we eagerly await for the next ultrasound so that we (Greg) can start painting!

First Trimester Recap

I'm a few weeks past the first trimester but wanted to give a brief recap of what happened. Greg and I knew fairly quickly that I was pregnant due to my missed period in June. We were very overwhelmed and shocked by the pregnancy test results. I've had little to no symptoms from day one and felt great, besides being nervous and overly cautious.

July 8th (9 weeks 3 days) was first doctor's appointment. Everything looked great and had my first ultrasound. Blood pressure was 117/72 (high for me, due to nervousness). Our babymoon was on HHI. Noticed a slight rise in abdomen and had some ligament stretching.

I went to the doctor for an unplanned ultrasound at 12 weeks 7 days; the baby was bouncing all around. August 5th (13 weeks 3 days) was second appointment. Lost 3.5 lbs in first trimester. Hemoglobin: 14. Blood pressure: 110/60 (back to my norm). Listened to heartbeat

Introduction

Greg and I married in May 2007 and wanted to wait several years before expanding our family of two. Well, the Wassel family of two will be expanding to a family of three in February 2012. This blog is a journal of our happenings and the pregnancy. I hope to give a weekly update of the pregnancy, with pictures, so that we can keep track.
