8 Months

Emma is such a handful when it comes to posing for pictures. She never stays still!

 

Emma: Week 34

I'm having so much fun with Emma! She is all over the place, getting into everything, and babbling nonstop!
* Size 2 diapers, 6, 6 - 9 and 9 month clothes.
* Greg baby-proofed the house since Emma enjoys touching the outlets.
* Emma also is hearing the word 'no' coming from Mama and Dada; she likes to touch the fireplace and tv stand.
* I can enjoy a shower now, instead of being rushed! Emma happily plays in the bathroom while I'm in the shower. She enjoys her bath toys, whether she's taking a bath or not!
* New food: zucchini
* Loves to touch things that aren't hers, or taking her toys down from the 1st or 2nd shelf.
* A pro at pulling up, and taking a few shaky steps while holding on.
* 2nd tooth has erupted. Two teeth in a week!
* Naptime and bedtime isn't going well; she has been up several times in the night, and it's wearing us down. She will just wake up, stand up, and start screaming. (This can stop!)
* Did great at church; we kept the pacifier in her mouth the entire time so that she wouldn't start babbling. Fell asleep towards the end.
* Can now say 'Dada" which Greg likes.

Emma: Week 33

* Size 2 diapers, size 6 & 6 - 9 month clothes
* Had her first cold this week; I told Emma that she shouldn't chew on other people's toys. (I also thought about how many illnesses she would have had already if Emma was in daycare!)
* Mood swings! (Happy then meltdown 10 seconds later.)
* Started babbling (ba-ba-ba-ba); I love this!
* Crawling all over the place and getting into everything. Emma loves the kitchen.
* Pulling up on everything, her legs are a little shaky.
* Likes to look at her reflection.
* Loves to rip up magazines/newspapers.
* First tooth poking through
* New food: chicken

Emma: Week 32

* Size 2 diapers, Size 6 & 6 - 9 month clothes
* Prunes seemed to work and Emma's problem has been resolved, thank goodness!
* Foods introduced: Spaghetti squash (yummy!), mangos (yucky!)
* Emma tailgated with us again, she had fun!
* Lowered the crib since Emma can sit up on her own.
* So nice that Emma can sit up; I can now take her into the kitchen so that I can cook/clean.
* Crawling a little bit. It's so cute to see Emma slowly crawling as if she's still unsure about the whole process.
* Another fun Saturday tailgating with Emma.
* Playdate with MK; sorry MK that Emma chewed on your toys!
