19 Months Old

Tailgating Fun

We tailgate next to the Georgia Center and are able to go inside and partake of their activities, which include face painting and balloon animals. Emma had a dawg print put on her leg and had a dog balloon, which she ended up popping later and surprisingly didn't startle her. The UGA cheerleaders hang around the Georgia Center before the game so we were able to get some pictures. Emma didn't appreciate being put in a cheerleader's arms; however, later on, she decided to sit down with a group of cheerleaders, all on her own. It was so cute to see her interact with them and they were great with her. Here are a bunch of pictures:

Emma: 1 Year 30 Weeks

* Size 3 diapers. Size 12 - 18 Month clothes. Size 5 - 6 shoes.
* Cutest words: Daddy, uh-oh, and Buddy (what Evie calls her dog)
* Emma ended up having Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease and passed it to Evie (sorry Evie!) I think that Emma ended up having a mild case but the rash on her face was nasty!
* Loving her gymnastic class. I haven't been able to take any pictures because I am constantly running after her but Emma loves to participate. I call it structured playtime. We stretch on the floor for about 10 minutes, singing songs & stretching arms and legs. Then we go through an obstacle course in the toddler room, with Mom's assistance. Emma's favorite activities are to flip on the uneven bar and to roll on the slanted mat. We then head to the big gym where we go through a bigger obstacle course that involves jumping on the long trampoline, playing in the foam pit, parachute and bubbles. Emma has a big smile on her face, and, though she may not follow directions all that well, she does have a great time! She has improved on her marching & jumping skills and enjoys hanging out with her classmates.
* Evie got a kitchen and the girls love playing with it.
* We picked Aunt Stacy up from the MARTA and went to Yellow River Game Ranch. Mama forgot her stroller but Emma had a great time looking at all of the animals. Emma also can say Stacy pretty well, although it sounds a lot like Daisy.
* Mimi and Grandad also visited for the big game this weekend, vs South Caroline. We had a fantastic time tailgating and the game was a lot of fun. Poor Mimi was locked out of the house with Emma for a bit because Mama gave Mimi the wrong passcode to get inside the garage.
* Had fun at the Friday night concert.

Emma: 1 Year 29 Weeks

* Size 12 - 18 months. Size 3 diapers. Size 5 - 6 shoes.
* Problem with upstairs A/C unit. being a homeowner is tough sometimes. It's always something around here! Guy couldn't find a problem but he did add about a pound of freon.
* Swapped Emma's cozy coupe for Evie's truck for a few days; she liked the change.
* Got the cutest UGA squeaker shoes to complete Emma's cheer-leading ensemble.
* GG and Papou came to visit for a few days. Emma liked to play with Papou's cane and loves all of the fun books that GG brought her.
* First football weekend; Emma wore her UGA outfits for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was a bummer that the Dawgs lost, though.
* Likes to talk through an empty paper towel roll.
* Had a fun time playing with the Fannings' before the big game.
 * Over the weekend, Emma had a slight fever and was feeling listless. I'm thinking it's her canine teeth. She already has her bottom left canine in all the way. Monday afternoon, she developed a facial rash.

Emma: 1 Year 28 Weeks

* Size 3 diapers. Size 12 & 18 month clothes. Size 5 - 6 shoes.
* Starting to finally say a few more words; finally my active girl is starting to talk.
* We had been going to the library for story time but the older lady reading was a bit intimidating and all of the other kids were years older so we tried a new library this week. It was great! Emma seemed to enjoy herself and sat on my lap the entire time. She especially loved the stamp on her hand at the end of storytime.
* Mocks hiccups, so funny.
* Gymnastics went so much better this time. I think the first lesson she was starting to get sick and I was a little uptight. Emma had fun running around & jumping.
