Emma: 1 Year 49 Weeks

* We started doing ABC Mouse with Emma and she loves watching the videos and playing the games on the computer. I think that it has helped because she is starting to recognize alphabet letters. She could already say the alphabet, just wasn't recognizing the different letters.
* Also counts to 10 verbally and can count objects.
* Went to Pump it Up in Athens, a bouncy house place. Emma loved it; however, it was a workout for Mama. I had to hold Emma while climbing the wall in the obstacle course. Whew!
* Potty training: Emma isn't letting us know when she needs to go potty so it's a constant watch for signs and taking her to the potty on an hourly basis.

Emma: 1 Year 48 Weeks

* Heater is broken. It got down to 57 downstairs and 52 upstairs. when Emma and I were home. It's miserable!
* Emma & Evie were running around the house playing when they ran straight into each other, bumping heads. Mother of the year (me) was laughing and the girls didn't cry, just kept rubbing their heads.
* Doing great with her alphabet recognition, colors, shapes and numbers
* Starting to become interested in Sesame Street.

Emma: 1 Year 47 Weeks

* Stomach bug has swept the house; Emma is in diapers and potty training is on hold. Greg got sick with the stomach bug in Savannah and we had a miserable week. Emma and I only had a light version for a few days.
* All this week, we stayed inside to recuperate from Christmas and play with our new toys.

Christmas 2013

On Christmas Eve, we did the traditional Wassel things: reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and placing cookies on the mantle for Santa. And, of course, on Christmas morning, we opened the toys from Santa (and Mama and Dada). Emma received many gifts, including: Daisy, Mickey,

At the end of the presents, Emma asked where her big Minnie Mouse gift was. (Emma already has 2 small Minnie Mouses.) It's nice that we can enjoy a relaxing Christmas morning before heading over to Grammie and Grandpa's for dinner and more presents. Emma has such a fun time but definitely took her time opening each gift and treated each gift as a treasure.

We also visited Savannah for several days. Emma was beginning to be overwhelmed with all of the attention and gift-giving but she sure did try everything out!

** Unfortunately, my phone erased a lot of photos during this time period :(

* It was a fun Christmas week!
* Emma has been busy playing with her new babies and playing golf with Daddy in addition to the too many presents that she received.
* I will mention that Emma very slowly opened presents as she wanted to carefully look over (and sometimes play with) each gift.

Emma: 1 year 45 weeks

* Size 24 month clothes. Size 4 diapers. Size 6.5 shoes
* Loved story time this week. Ms. Lee was very impressed with Emma's hand motions during the songs.
* Been going outside a lot in the afternoons.
* Emma's snot has developed into a cold. I bought vapor rub and rubbed into feet so we will see if that helps.
* Grammie and Grandpa went to gymnastics with us to watch. Luckily it was a small class because Emma was a handful.
* Enjoyed playing with play doh.

Emma: 1 year 44 weeks

* Size 24 month clothes. Size 4 diapers. Size 6.5 shoes.
* Has done much better with potty training this week since I am putting her on the potty every hour or so. Emma had 3 accident-free days and 5 accidents total this week!
* Another fun week at gymnastics! (Wish that Emma would stopping hitting her friends, though)
* Made chocolate chip cookies. Emma is a big fan of helping in the kitchen and loved the chocolate morsels.
* Emma drinks from my water throughout the day and caught the sniffles from me. Snot everywhere!
* Emma says the alphabet (with assistance) and counts 1 - 10 (without assistance).
* Visited Santa this week. Emma gets so excited when she sees a fake Santa (non-human) and would even wave to the real Santa from Mama's arms; however, once she sat in Santa's lap, it was downhill from there. Once she was off his lap, she waved at Santa and said thanks.
* Visited and rode the Pink Pig at Macy's this weekend. Emma and Mama rode it together. We had a good time and I'm looking forward to starting this Christmas tradition with Emma.
* Favorite phrases from Emma: Hurry Up, Mama & Move, Mama!
