Gymnastics: August - June

Wow! What a difference Emma has made in gymnastics over the past several months. She is learning to pay attention, and, even though, she may not look like she is listening in class, Emma does practice at home. Her social interaction with children has improved and she isn't crying/screaming as soon as we enter the door like she was in August.

Emma is enrolled in Summer session and will probably continue with it in the Fall.
First Day

Last Day

Sadie: 33 Weeks Pregnant

How Far Along: 33 Weeks (7 weeks until due date)
Size of baby:  17 inches long and weighs a little over 4 pounds (a pineapple)
Gender: Girl - Sadie
Maternity Clothes: Yes, all maternity.
Weight gain: + 22 pounds (Gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks :( )
Movement: Yes.
Symptoms: Appetite is waning, which is definitely for the best! Hot and starting to complain. Swollen ankles.
 What I miss: more patience.
Cravings: watermelon.
Best moment this week: Good doctor's visit.
What I am looking forward to: Spending the last few weeks with Emma before she becomes an older sister.
Doctor's appointment recap: Urine and BP (112/74) were good. Weight gain was + 5 pounds from last time, a little much in my book; however, I was on vacation and I had only gained 1 pound 2 weeks before. It sounds better when I say that I gained 6 pounds in 5 weeks. Fundal height is measuring right on track and Emma's heartbeat was great! Sadie is head down.  I'll go back in two weeks and will be tested for Group Strep B.

Sadie: 32 Weeks Pregnant

Size of baby:  16.7 inches long and weighs 3.75 pounds (size of a large jicama)
Gender: Girl - Emma
Maternity Clothes: Yes, all maternity.
Weight gain: + 17 pounds
Movement: Movements are slowing down. Sadie is developing a routine of active/quiet time.
Symptoms: Slow to respond physically and mentally. How am I going to keep up with Emma in the weeks to come??
What I miss: Energy. Greg runs around the neighborhood while I slowly trudge along behind him.
Cravings: watermelon and chocolate malt milkshakes.
Best moment this week: Allowing my family to spoil me rotten and take charge of Emma so Greg and I could relax. I didn't have to do a thing!
What I am looking forward to: Getting Emma back to a routine.

Go Braves!

Greg and I took Emma to her first Braves game. It took awhile for us to find something girly enough for Emma to wear; most of the apparel are geared for boys, and Greg doesn't like the pink sports apparel. Greg finally found a cute Freeman shirt (with polka dots).

I didn't expect too much sitting from Emma; in fact, I knew that I was going to be walking around the stadium with Emma while Greg watched the game. However, Emma did fantastic! She enjoyed munching on roasted peanuts and watching the mechanical cow do the chop. It was also miserably hot. Emma did get up twice to use the restroom but I was so happy that we were able to enjoy the game as a family! (Snacks helped!)

Sadie: 31 Weeks Pregnant

Size of baby:  16 inches long and weighs about 3.3 pounds (about 4 navel oranges)

Cravings: Watermelon and ice cream drumsticks
Best moment this week: Only gained 1 pound in 3 weeks, and this is after I ate 6 drumsticks in 2 days!
What I am looking forward to: Leaving for the beach tomorrow.
Doctor's appointment recap: Urine, BP and hemoglobin were great! Gained 1 pound. Fundal height measured at 30 weeks. We brought Emma to this appointment because it was a quick one and I figured that I could take her to the splash pad. Emma did great and Dr. Cline was able to meet Emma, whom she had delivered. Next appointment in 2 weeks.

Best moment this week: Having Emma play in her pool so I can soak my feet in it.
What I am looking forward to: Doctor's appointment and the beach!
