Emma's second taste of cereal was the next day. We made the cereal thicker and she enjoyed it a lot more. In fact, Emma was reaching for the spoon with her mouth wide open. The second attempt went a lot smoother. I think that we will continue to feed her the plain cereal for a week or so before attempting anything else. She needs to get used to the spoon and learn how to eat with a spoon. Emma was using her tongue a lot more than necessary so this is a learning lesson for all three of us!

Rice Cereal
Emma had her first taste of rice cereal on July 6th. The directions said to make it very thin, so we did. It might have been a little too thin! She doesn't understand the spoon part just yet, and was slurping down the cereal. Emma also wanted to hold the spoon herself. She had a scared look on her face at first but then decided that it wasn't too bad.
